Proper aftercare is essential for healthy healing and optimal pigment retention. Please follow these instructions carefully to protect your skin and achieve the best possible results.
Tegaderm Dressing Care
A Tegaderm dressing will be applied immediately after your procedure. Keep the dressing in place for 4 days unless otherwise instructed. Do not remove or replace it unless it becomes loose, leaks, or causes significant irritation. You may shower while wearing the dressing, but avoid direct water pressure on the treated area.
Day 4 — Dressing
Removal & Healing
On Day 4, gently remove the Tegaderm dressing. Wash the area with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser, then gently pat dry with a clean towel.
Apply a thin layer of the recommended ointment three times daily until healed. Avoid applying excessive ointment, as this may delay healing. Mild peeling or flaking is normal. Do not pick, scratch, or remove peeling skin, as this may affect pigment retention.
Protecting Your
Results & Precautions
Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating for 48 hours after dressing removal. Avoid pools, hot tubs, and saunas for 7 days, and ocean swimming for 2 weeks. Keep the area out of direct sunlight until healed and avoid unnecessary touching or irritating products.
